This welder will weld a I/8 7018 welding rod just like a big machine. I’ve been a welder for 48 years and welded with a lot of machine and this one just blew my mine. Thanks for a great welder.

I was skeptical about buying this welder because it is so competitively priced. I’ve been looking at welders for a couple of months for some little projects. I kept going back and forth between Miller and Lincoln but could not understand how they justify the prices. But I needed something immediately, Next day thanks to Amazon the welder and rod is on my porch. First I fixed my trailer, burning a couple of pounds of 6013 rod at the max current welding 1/4″ channel to 3/8″ pipe. The strike is easy, it flowed so nice I was actually proud of the welds. Then I went and spent 5 hours welding the structure to a 50′ x 13′ addition to my barn. I had already tacked everything together with my Hobart Mig. But the welds are just crap. The high tensile wire with flux does nothing but stick metal together. I started with 6011 rod on 16ga. square tubing, trusses, and purlins. I adjusted the amps from 55, 75, 100, 130. The arc was quick but the rod just wouldn’t flow like the 6013. In was so hot it would burn through the steal. When I ran at too low an amp, the rod would stick. After a couple of pounds, I decided to go get the 6013. I adjusted the amps to 90 and this thing flowed like butter. The welds were strong, the rod flowed evenly, starting the arc was fantastically easy and I’m telling you this little jewel is a welding beast. The best part is the thing weighs nothing and runs on 110 volts. I cut my teeth on the 220 Volt Lincoln which requires a fortune in lead wire to reach. The problem with Lincoln is the welder is now over $300 and I’m not sure how they justify this price for 40 year old technology. The leads with the machine are longer than my mig making it no problem to reach 8′. I eventually attached it to my ladder and just ran up and down the structure. My welds were horizontal, vertical, and upside down on all galvanized metal. Any bad welds were attributed to the person welding and not the welder. Best tool purchase I have made in years. I’m just absolutely amazed at how well this welder worked.

Haven’t had the machine long, and I don’t typically write reviews, but I was so impressed I thought I should. I just welded about 300 foot of 1/8″ 6011 rods, 220volt @ 90 amps, in a dusty environment, with 150 foot of 8/3 cable run straight from the breaker box. Machine never cut off, never overheated, and laid a bead the same as my $3k machine in the shop. It fit inside a 5 gallon bucket with the lid on so I tossed it in the back of my truck when I left….I don’t really know what else I could ask for.Don’t ever expect to do any real welding with 120 volts – doubt the machine would do quite as well, but I didn’t even attempt to run it 120v

So I’ll start by saying if your looking for a cheap lightweight welder that’ll do your basic stick welding then here you go. It’s small enough to put in a backpack. The machine ran 3/32 7018 right out of the box no problems. 5/32 is definitely pushing it on a 110 lead. I’m sure the 220 plug in would be way better off running the bigger wire. The stinger (electrode holder) is pretty small and is probably really cheap but hey it works. Other than that I’d say it’s a good machine for the low cost.

Great Welder ! I replaced the standard #14 AWG 16A 110V power cable with a much larger #10 AWG 30A cable and L5-30 Twist Lock 30A for my Generater outlet. Works much better now ! Much better Arc starts, much less sticking 👨🏼🏭🐸😎

I bought this because my muffler was falling apart. Rapair shop said it would cost 300 at least, i saw this on Amazon and figured i would give it a try. It fixed no problem car is still falling apart but quietly. Its more than paid for itself.

This little dude, and I do mean little cuz its small, performs well beyond my expectations. I have only used it on a 110v 30 amp circuit with its output set at minimum 30ish amps and at a maximum 125 amps. At 125 amp it didn’t break a sweat welding two pieces of 1/4″ plate mild steel about 12″ long together with 6013 5/32″ rods. I’d say this machine is perfect for any hobbyist or weekend warrior. Only thing I cannot attest to is how it holds up to constant use. I have, however, burned through a lil over 1lb of those 6013 5/32″ rods on 3 different projects over the course of about 2 – 2.5 hours and never once did it shut off as the manual says it will when the duty cycle limit is reached.I say “HELL YEAH YOU SHOULD BUY IT!!” to anyone looking for a small, portable, reliable (so far), and user friendly welder.

This is one bad mother. I’m so impressed with it IDK where you start, the welder itself is about the size of a box from a typical model car or maybe just a little smaller. I personally don’t have a 220 to plug it into so I use it with the included adapter & at first I was having some trouble, after troubleshooting I found out the problem was my outlets weren’t high enough amp to really let it sizzle. After plugging onto a good power supply it was like the difference between night & day. It’ll do good 6010 roots & 7014 caps on .25″ with excellent penetration… Like excellent penetration. If you’re looking for a cheap hobby box this is the one.

I really wanted to dip my toes into arc welding and I had an Amazon gift card burning a hole in my pocket, so I picked up this little feller. As soon as I got it home. I plugged it into a standard 15a outlet in my garage and started burning some rods.I have never used a stick welder before this. Other than sticking a few rods at first it was super simple to operate.I would absolutely buy this again. 10/10 will melt metal to other metal.

When I saw how tiny this thing was I thought I got burned for $90. But when I layed a bead down I realized I was wrong. Not quite enough power on a 110 outlet for a 1/8 7018 rod, I ended up flipping a breaker. But a 3/32 7018 rod at 100 amps layed a pretty nice bead while plugged into a 110 outlet. I just got it today so I can’t comment on its longevity (will update in the future). And haven’t had a chance to plug it into a 220 yet, but with how well it does on a 110 im sure it’ll do well. super happy with the purchase and this thing is small enough to fit under the backseat of my truck. Would definitely purchase again. It well over performed what I was expecting. If your someone who only welds once in a great while and can’t justify spending big money on a welder, then get this. This thing works great and for $90 you can’t go wrong. I usually don’t do product reviews but wanted to on this one for anyone who’s on the fence about getting this, wished I had bought it sooner.

The first thing I did with this welder when I received it was test the display current vs actual current so I know what I’m actually running when I try to weld. This is not a 250 amp welder the max it will put out is 162 amps and the output doesn’t change once you turn the display over 200 amps. Below are the values I measured.Display: Measured:30 3640 4150 5060 5870 6280 7290 75100 97110 105120 112130 118140 125150 133160 138170 144180 150190 160200 162210 162220 162230 162240 162250 162One other thing to note, the welding cables that came with the welder are too small maybe there not actually copper but they get hot quickly. I was laying down 3″ beads to test the current and by the time I got the display over 110 the cables where hot.I would much rather have a 160 amp welder that has an accurate display than a fake 250A welder the lies about it’s capabilities are disappointing. All that said I think I’m going to keep it. It starts and welds nicely and I seldom need more than 110 amps and it only cost $100 but I don’t think a product that basically lies about it’s capabilities should get more than 3 stars.

The media could not be loaded. I am in Disbelief! Union Welder of local 486 Steamfitters. If you have a legit 20 amp breaker this thing runs like a champ. Welded a clip just to see if this runs 3/32 low high atom arc and it did just fine on 100amp setting on standard 120v outlet. It was too hot at 115… dialed it back down. I don’t understand how this thing runs so smooth… hot start works great… I will try and weld a 4” weld joint , root and cap normally without breaks and if this thing does it I will be throughly impressed… you can’t beat the price… but I am professional welder by trade so results will vary from a noob to someone who knows what they’re doing………. Update, it welded a 4” schedule 40 butt weld just fine…. It didn’t have the arc force/dig for a true 1/8” 6010 root as it would cut out if you long arc’d it but you could drag downhill and fill the 1/8” gap just fine..hot pass and cap was honestly just like any other Miller or Lincoln welder I have used.. …. Now longevity update to be done now for the future. ….Update 12/30/21: had to do a couple 1-1/2” socket welds for a job that I didn’t think I was welding at, but I had my mini welder with me in my car and my gear. She keeps impressing me and had no issues so far. Probably 10hrs of weld time so far with the machine and hopefully she can last a long time.

I haven’t had the machine long, and I rarely write reviews, but I was so impressed that I felt compelled to do so. In a dusty environment, I just welded roughly 300 feet of 1/8″ 6011 rods, 220volt @ 90 amps, with 150 feet of 8/3 wire routed straight from the breaker box. The machine never cut out, never overheated, and lay a bead as well as my $3k shop machine. I placed it in the back of my pickup with the lid on because it fit within a 5 gallon bucket…. I’m not sure what else I could possibly ask for. Expect to never do any real welding with 120 volts – the machine wouldn’t do nearly as well, and I didn’t even try to run it at that voltage.

The handle of the yard’s iron gate suddenly broken one day. And the lock stopped working. The price is higher than my expected. So I bought the mini welder. What I initially liked about the machine was it’s bright yellow color. Secondly, I really like its size. It’s easy for me to store and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Most importantly, it fixed the iron gate in my yard. At present, I am so happy to buy such a practical product!

In the description it says it comes with a 220v adapter and wrench. When my father got the item it did not come with the adapter and wrench. I contacted the seller and they said it doesn’t come with an adapter but would send me the wrench. I have waited a couple weeks and the wrench still hasn’t showed up. This is in a way false advertising and I wouldn’t recommend buying this because of that reason alone.
