Note

The multi-floor map function needs to be upgraded through the Roborock APP. The Mijia APP needs to be patiently waiting for the upgrade. Please note, thanks.

Highlights

Make Home Clean So Easy

Compared to previous models, the Roborock S5 Max has been upgraded to mop and sweep. It is equipped with a large water tank that can cover a larger area to improve cleaning efficiency. Super suction and adaptive route planning algorithm to achieve better automatic cleaning effect.

High Efficiency

The water tank has a capacity of 290ml and the area of more than 200 square meters is completely covered.

The high-precision LDS laser ranging sensor scans the room at 300RPM.

The adaptive algorithm calculates the most effective cleaning route around the room and obstacles.

With a unique drawer design, the mop panel can be quickly and easily installed and removed without the need to flip or remove the water tank.

Quick-release main brush, mop mount, water tank, and trash can for easy maintenance. A washable air filter and mop pad extend the life of these items.

Intelligent Settings

The sweep area can be set by the APP.

After docking, the water will be closed, allowing the S5 Max to prepare for the next mopping.

It is possible to schedule a specific room to be cleaned at different times and on different dates.

It can easily climb over 0.8 inches (2 cm) of sills and carpets. Automatically switches to turbo mode when cleaning the carpet.

When the power is less than 20%, the robot will automatically charge and evaluate the required charging time based on the area of the unswept area. When the battery is fully charged, the robot will continue to clean the uncleaned area.

Super Cleanness

The integrated design of sweeping and mopping ensures a cleansing effect.

Selective mopping allows the user to choose to clean specific rooms, setting the appropriate water flow and vacuum intensity for each room.

The maximum suction force is up to 200 0Pa, which reduces wind resistance and improves the vacuuming capacity.

The media could not be loaded.  I don’t consider my house clean unless the floors are spotless. With 2 dogs and 2 cats (one of whom sheds enough to knit a sweater each year), my house rarely meets my own unattainable standards. Eufy gets me close. When I first fired up this gizmo, my husband stood–arms akimbo and brow raised– wondering what sort of nonsense I had wasted our money on now. Eufy bumped into EVERYTHING like a drunken, mischievous toddler. The pets were perplexed, wondering what this strange new animal was. I ended up emptying the bin 6 times on that initial run, much to my horror. Where had all this filth come from?Eufy has gotten smarter since, yet is still foiled by the bathroom vanity, getting stuck and crying for help. She makes it back to her dock most nights so long as an errant rug or dog doesn’t waylay her. She frequently gets high centered on the lip between our tile and hardwood floors. She’s eaten more than a few dog toys as well. She does not get along with our French Bulldog, Jussi. He’s quite mad that her name and his are so close in pronunciation. This is not helped by the fact that she keeps running into his ankles whenever he least suspects. Jussi has declared an all out war on her much to the delight of our sadistic felines who observe the goings on from far above. There’s a metaphor in there somewhere, I’m sure.Pros:- excellent battery life- entertaining for pets, guests, your permenantly stoned uncle, etc.- sparkly clean floors- beautiful, sleek design- fits under almost all our furnitureCons- harasses the dog, though he does deserve it

Background: I have a shedding dog, so I bought this in hopes that by running it every-day, it would pick up on some of the dog hair on the floor. What I like:-VERY easy to use.-easy to follow instructions-has a sticker on the bottom so if it ever stops and beeps, you can flip it over and it says exactly what the beeps mean (one beep means one thing, two beeps means another–which is SUPER helpful!).-color on top clearly shows what mode it is in (blue-ready to go, orange-needs to charge, red-problem to fix-such as emptying the tray).-very quiet. I can work on stuff with it in the room and it does not bother me at all (my dog also does not mind it).-works great on white carpet and easily transitions from my living room to dining room (which has a slight bump).-when its low on battery, it does not die where it is at, it just turns off the vacuum then finds the home doc and charges itself.-just works really well. I run it everyday and I am impressed by how much stuff it gets (especially when it goes under things such as the couch).-if it gets caught on a cord, it usually takes 5-10 seconds but then it stops the suctioning and moves away (releasing the cord or other item). However if you have a small cord you should put it up (and you should regardless, I just noticed it doing this a few times and thought it was neat, but I do try to pick up all cords). What could be improved:-nothing really in particular to this.-It does not work well on anything black, but this is true for all robot vacuums. It sometimes gets stuck when it goes on the black carpet we have with the black chairs (I suspect because it can not detect them), but this has not happened often. My dog has a black mat for her food and water and it always bumps into it and spills the water, but again, this would occur with any robot vacuum.-Also, make sure the doc is against a wall because otherwise it will move and never charge (self explanatory, but I did not do the first time and it kept trying to doc and was just pushing the doc around the floor).-Finally, you do have to dump out the vacuum particles almost every time you run it (if you do a full circle/battery cycle). It is really easy to dump and beeps when it needs to be emptied. Again, nothing really negative, just something to note.Overall, I really like this! It does a nice job cleaning up the dog hair and other things that get on my floor and saves me a lot of time not vacuuming daily. If you have a dog, I would watch them with this first before you use it. My dog was initially scared of it but sniffed it’s “butt” and now they are cool and she does not mind it at all. Pleased with this product and would recommend! :)**UPDATE**On another note, Eufy has amazing customer service! I received an email from them addressing each of my “what could be improved” components with more information on the product. Very impressed.

I have been an iRobot Roomba buyer since 2007. My last Roomba bit the dust this month, and I did a ton of research before buying a replacement. I went with the Eufy for a few reasons: price point, cleaning power, quietness, and sleek design.Price: Very reasonable. Almost reasonable enough that I’d consider getting another one for my second floor. For now I’ll just carry it upstairs.Cleaning power: This thing sucks… It’s suction is much stronger than my Roombas have had. It picks up so much dust and pet hair. We do a full vacuum every other week with my Dyson, so I think of the robot vacuum as a supplemental vacuum. I was shocked at how much was in the dustbin after it’s inaugural cleaning! The picture attached to this is from that cleaning. It also gets a ton of dust in the little dust filter. In one of the video reviews I watched, the reviewer said it didn’t pick up anything in that dust filter… So maybe my carpet is particularly dusty, because it has a thick layer after each cleaning.Quietness: I work from my home office, and this thing is quiet enough that I don’t even turn it off during conference calls. This might be the thing I am most impressed with. My last Roomba was LOUD– you couldn’t even have a conversation with someone in the same room, let alone someone on speakerphone.Sleek design: I love/hate this. It definitely looks modern and cool, and more like an art piece than an appliance, but it shows all my finger prints, and now I keep a glasses cleaning cloth nearby so I can rub it down. I suppose if I only use the remote and never pick it up, this won’t be an issue.A few considerations: I was hoping to find a robot vacuum that wouldn’t eat my carpets’ tassels, but I don’t think that vacuum exists. I have only used the Eufy 4 times so far, and it doesn’t always get its brushes wrapped around the long tassels, but it does sometimes. It seems to realize it sooner than my Roomba did at least. The Roomba would sometimes rip gobs of them off in a single cleaning. I try to tuck them under the edge of the rug and that doesn’t seem to bother Eufy. It has pulled off probably 2 tassels so far.The cleaning pattern seems pretty random. I saw some other vacuums that chart out complex maps of your home, and Eufy doesn’t seem to do that. But, it doesn’t seem to matter, because it still hits every spot in the rooms.I’m a little concerned about durability. My Roombas ran for many, many years with easily replaceable parts. We’ll have to see if Eufy has the same longevity. All in all- I’m very happy with my purchase and definitely recommend it!

Let me begin this by saying “this is far better then what I had owned previously- Roomba i7+ and Neato Boatvac d6”. I had just received this product recently and only used once but few things that can be highlighted are:1. Fast cleaning then all of my previous robots2. Methodical or I would say amazing SLAM cleaning.3. Almost 40-50% quieter then my Roomba or Neato. I was amazed to see that while watching TV i did not had to bump up my volume. Love this quiet motor4. I have little bump between the charging station and kitchen floor. Roomba had always trouble getting back to dock and I had to literally lift i7+ couple times and put it on dock manually. But this thing is amazing it just fits in within a smaller runway it does not need big parking space for takeoff and landing lol. It just lifts the wheels to get in there without any problems.5. This is Bonus you can attach the water Tank underneath and get your floor mopped regularly. Do remember this will not replace your traditional Mop but once you clean your floor manually all you need is this beauty to take care of it everyday by moppingSo far I can only find one disadvantage and that was not with the product but with app. I think app should have option of labeling different rooms and also there are few improvements that can be made. This suggestions are coming of direct comparison with roomba app which I liked better then this one. Will update the review again in another few weeks of using this product

Our family just got a dog (black lab) and he sheds like crazy. We needed a robot vacuum to keep up with the shedding. We named him ‘Bert’ and set him off to work. Bert set off to scan my first floor and finished the job in about 2 hours (103 sq meters). After two hours, I recall he still had about 30% battery left. My floors are primarily hardwood, but we have large area rugs that also shed A LOT! I had to empty the dustbin twice during this first-time scan/vacuum. After that first scan was done, I used the Roborock app to designate specific zones and then scheduled Bert to vacuum a zone in the middle of the night. He rotates through the zones each night. Since the dustbin is so small, it fills up quickly and therefore I set the zone sizes so that it will finish before the dustbin overflows (which I will receive an alert when it does). My dustbin is mostly filled with the fibers from the area rugs. Once that calms down, I think I can probably hit 2-3 zones in a single night. I have not used the mopping feature, nor the Alexa integration, since I have basically set the robot up and let him do his job (no need for voice activation). I only need to clean out the dustbin each day so he has an empty dustbin before he starts his task at night. Bert does a good enough job that I dont see any dog hairs accumulating anywhere and my floors and carpets are looking pretty clean. I can view the navigational path that Bert took, which is pretty cool. I don’t think I ever had so much fin watching something vacuum my floors! He makes adjustments if something is in the way or moved in subsequent vacuuming sessions. He is low profile enough to squeeze under the couches and in between chair legs. As of now, he could never go the entire battery charge without emptying the dustbin at least three times. I am very pleased with the purchase and overall, my only “complaint” is that the dustbin is too small given the propensity of my dog’s and rug’s shedding.

App:Roborock App is much improved over the Mi Home app. The Mi Home app is designed around home automation and has a lot of structure that isn’t relevant to using the vacuum that just gets in the way. The Roborock app is focused on vacuum operation and setup alone leading to much less lag, substantially better maps, and an overall more responsive and intuitive UI. One killer feature of the S6 is the ability to direct the robot to clean a specific room rather than requiring you to manually draw a cleanup zone as you would with the S5. This means I can have the robot clean my carpet and entry hallway every day, but leave the rest of the floor on an every other day schedule.Multi-Level/Floor Support:The S5 can be moved to another floor, but all no-go zones are erased from the prior floor, which is annoying. The S6 supports the saving of 3 maps. The best improvement on this functionaly is that the S6 can be moved to another floor and when returned to the base station the previous map and no-go zones are restored. This works out great for me as I don’t have any no-go zones on my second floor.Noise Levels:The S6 is substantially quieter on carpet, noticably quieter on hard floors. When running the S5 on balanced you have to raise your voice while the robot is running. The S6 doesn’t require any changes in normal conversation. A good portion of the decreased noise seems to be in the drive wheels rather than the turbine, it just moves around more quietly. If I had only an S5 I wouldn’t have called it loud, but I didn’t really want to have it running while I was on the same floor. The S6 is just quiet enough it’s not an annoyance to have running near you.Navigation:S6 seems to find its dock and identify the surroundings slightly quicker than the S5. The same left side first mapping process is used to create the boundaries of the map. My S5 tended to wedge itself under a dresser at least 75% of the time I ran it upstairs. The S6 seems to have a better feel as to what it is able to clear and hasn’t gotten stuck once yet.Cleanup Time:On the main floor the S5 took an average of about 72 minutes to clean 63 sq m while the S6 was able to do the same area in 68 mins which is a 5% improvement in cleaning time. It seems like zoned cleanup increases the time slightly as the robot is following the defined zone lines, which likely increases the cleaning time.Overall I think the S6 is a good improvement over the already great S5, but it could be better with improved multi-floor no-go functionality.

The media could not be loaded.  Excellent product with easy installation and good cleaning!Bought this product as this is free return and $50 coupon. Now decided to keep it!Pros:1 easy installation. Typically I’ll have my husband install everything and anything. My kids are excited to see this package and urged me to install it right away. I did it within 5 minutes. Also, manufacturer is very considerate and include batteries for remote control as well as electro wall.2 smart machine. I have stairs in the house. The machine can tell it stairs and will stop like it bumped into a wall.3 easy to use with voice assistant. There’s one time it was stopped because it was trapped by wire on the floor, but I hear the voice assistant and was able to remove the wire and let it continue to clean.4 good cleaning! I use it mostly in the dining room area and play space. It picked up hairs, food crumbs. Now I don’t have to clean after each meal!I have stairs

The media could not be loaded.  Amazing product! I am big tech follower and an engineer so I have been watching robot vacuum technology for a while waiting the right time and when the S5 Max released I was sold. The intelligent Lidar mapping is fantastic allowing the robot to efficiently clean and optimize the coverage so it can completely clean every inch leaving my floors spotless. The 4 levels of power are awesome. The spot and zone cleaning functions so far have worked great and it always knows where it is going. The big thing for me was the mopping feature. It has no problem keeping paw prints, light dirt or spills, and dust up off the floor leaving my floors nice and shiny. The images I attached of my floor are before and after 5 days of letting dirty paw prints, spills, and dust build up and it cleaned like a champ.Thank you Roborock for bringing such an amazing product to the market.

First, the good:The S5-Max is an excellent vacuum cleaner. It is easy to set up and use. The ap is easy to use, and there are many YouTube videos showing how to use the more esoteric features. The vacuum is quiet and doesn’t damage the furniture. Its mapping feature allows the user to place areas off-limits so that the vacuum doesn’t get stuck under cabinets or furniture. All-in-all, this is an excellent VACUUM cleaner. Now the so-so:At this price, it could have come with two filters and two mopping pads. The mopping pads are washable, so that’s not as big an issue as the filters. The filters are sturdy and reusable. They are also washable, but they take at least two days to dry — during which time, the vacuum cleaner is unusable. The instructions tell you to wash the filter when you empty the bin. That is not necessary — a bang or two on the inside of a trashcan gets it pretty clean. I wash mine once a week now. I also bought extra filters. They are very reasonably priced and available on Amazon. The instructions about how to empty the bin and take off the filter are not very good. They do not tell you that there are release buttons to push to remove the bin, and it takes some time to figure out how to open the bin and to replace the filter. This is not a show stopper since you will be able to figure it out, but the instructions could have been more understandable. Now the bad:The S5-Max is billed as a vacuum/mopper. It is specially designed to enhance its mopping ability. I paid extra for this feature. Unfortunately, the S5-Max does not mop — or at least it doesn’t do anything I would call mopping. It drags a slightly damp (and I mean SLIGHTLY damp) cloth across the floor. It doesn’t mop the floor in any meaningful sense. At best, it can be described as dusting the floor. It picks up what little dust the vacuum doesn’t get. And since it cannot use any mopping solution, it is not even as good as a Swiffer. (Use of anything but water — preferably distilled water will corrode the machine.)If you are looking for a mopping robot that will clean dirty floors, you will have to look elsewhere. Other than that, it is a great vacuum robot, and I would recommend looking at other robots in the company’s lineup. For instance, the S4 is supposed to have all the vacuuming features of this robot, but without the mopping or the high price.

Firstly, I would have given this 5 stars except of the non-compatibility of the app with a tablet. Therefore, I can’t comment on the wi-fi or mapping ability. But (and I’m sure Amazon is breathing a sigh of relief as I’ve returned quite a few robot vacuums), based purely on the performance, I’m keeping this one.I own a Shark IQ self empty. As I have dogs, my first floor is divided in two parts with baby gates. I use the shark in the larger part and find the self empty feature just too convenient to part with. I didn’t want to invest that much money in the smaller part of the first floor so looked for a more budget friendly option; therefore I decided to try the iLife.Honestly, at this price point, I don’t believe you’ll find a better robot. The remote is quite adequate to run the robot. The suction is very good. The navigation is on par with the Shark. It finds it’s way to the base; or at least has so far, doesn’t get stuck and doesn’t clog. On max, it vacuums far long enough to clean the smaller part of the first floor and even goes back for a second go which leaves very few missed spots, if any. The voice notification is a bonus.Because of the filtration system, I don’t find the filter gets as dirty and I don’t see having to replace it soon. The dustbin is an adequate size and it does a good job on the area rugs. I sent a couple of robots back because they were unable to navigate the rugs (height). Again, no problem with the iLife. It also circles around chair legs rather than bumping into them then changing direction as another robot did.It was packed impressively and included two extra brushes and an extra filter. The machine seems very sturdily built and recharges quickly.Reading over this, I’m not sure why I kept the Shark, lol. If they ever make a self empty version of this robot, I’m in.I did want to note that neither robot with the camera navigation beat the navigation capabilities of the one I tried with the laser navigation. Alas, I sent the laser navigation one back also because it couldn’t handle the 1/2″ rise with the area rugs.

The media could not be loaded.  Although we have several vacuum cleaners already, I decided to get a Roborock so we wouldn’t be bothered by having to push it around. Our house is about 3500 square feet, mostly travertine and hardwood floor, all on one level. We have two cats and two Australian Shepherds, all of which shed. The Aussie fur is specially designed to pick up dirt when outside, and drop it indoors. So a clean floor one day does not translate to a clean floor the next. The Roborock is amazing. The first time you use it, it goes about mapping the house as it cleans, and remembers the map. It distinguishes separate rooms and color-codes them on the map it creates. It also takes note of furniture and obstacles, such as table legs, chair legs, and sleeping dogs. It has a systematic approach to cleaning, going around the perimeters of a room, then doing a back and forth pattern like mowing a lawn. It’s short enough that it can clean along the baseboard underneath a kitchen cabinet overhang. The app is great, but takes a little getting used to. You can see the house map that it creates, including rooms, walls, and obstacles. You can label the rooms so that you can direct it to clean only a certain room or rooms. You can create rectangles on the map where you don’t want it to go, such as under a dining table, and can a virtual barrier to prevent it from going into a certain room. It displays its path it makes on the app so you can monitor it. It will even make announcements on your phone, such as the dustbin being full, or returning to dock. The vacuum cleans really well. Even when we think that the floor is relatively clean, the dustbin is usually full of pet hair and dust. The dustbin is not particularly large, but it is really easy to remove and empty, so we empty it after each cleaning job.It doesn’t happen often, but once in a while the vacuum gets stuck in a situation and needs a rescue. Sometimes it gets into a fight with a shoelace, and other times the wheels can’t get enough traction to escape its trap. I’m hoping for a software upgrade that would send a help call to the app when that happens.I’m including a video of the Roborock negotiating a dogstacle. Then it gets hung up on a sliding door track. I’ll fix that by putting a virtual wall there. A screen snapshot of my app shows the path it took around Ozzie. Another snapshot when it finished shows the complete cleaning path it took, avoiding Ozzie and a no-go zone. The photo shows the contents of the dustbin after cleaning about 700 square feet in about an hour.

I hate give this vacuum a bad review but since it stopped working after four months, it’s hard to leave a good one. I waited a couple of months after it stopped working because I was hoping the manufacturer would make good on their warranty. But they haven’t. After many attempts to contact them I’ve been met with only silence. Just completely ignored and that’s very frustrating. I have a second unit and it works great and would have given it a good rating if they would have responded and replaced the defective unit. I have since replace it with a IRobot and it works great as well. It’s just a little noisier than the ILife unit. If you purchase one and it does not breakdown you will likely be satisfied with the battery life, cleaning, etc. If not, you’ll need lots of luck getting it replaced.

I want to start from saying that I was very skeptical in general to any robot after my bad experience with Rumba robot. After my son purchased Roborock 6 in January I was keeping my eye on his experience. I have to say that he is an IT guy and to impress him with any electronic toy is very difficult. BUT he was very pleased and even after almost 6 month his level of satisfaction didn’t change and was very high. So I decided to jump.Delivery was fast and accurate. Condition of the box and it’s content were perfect. I put the device to charge and noticed that a cable comes off very easy to the point that I had to monitor if it was charging or not. I sent an email to customer support and within minutes I received a reply with an explanation and further instructions. This fact by itself was surprisingly pleasant and comforting. The next hurdle was with connecting my robot with my wireless network and my phone. I have Pixel 3 phone and I didn’t expect any issues but I was wrong. It took 3 days back and forth between installing applications, checking my network and failing to connect all things together. Robot had no problem to find and to connect but my phone refused to find a device. Eventually instead of Roborock application I installed Mi home application and all problems were solved. I got a high five from my robot and gave him OK to start cleaning. It’s a very smart device. Just to watch it was a very cool experience. It was spinning in all directions, moving in some whimsical patterns and eventually a map of my house was learned. It never bumped into anything but was touching gently and moving in another direction. On a screen on my phone I could see the progress and read instruction manual at the same time. Manual printed in some faded ink and to read it was an efforts for my eyes. Today after a week living with this amazing creature I tested it not only on cleaning the floor but also mopping as well. Absolutely amazing results. I have tile/laminate floor all over the house and it feels clean to touch. At the end I receive a report about finishing the process and I can see a map that proves it. It’s a very smart and complex thing and I have to learn other tricks that this robot can offer. I can name each room and tell a robot where to go and what to clean. How cool is that? I can restrict area from cleaning but I need to learn how to tell machine about it. I guess after awhile I will continue this review but at this point I can recommend it to any of my friends. Actually today I already did it while we were at the beach. I showed that a map and a moving robot while we were enjoying our sun. 🙂

The media could not be loaded.  I been looking for robot vacuum for a while and my friend recommended this brand over irobot. At beginning I’m a little skeptical but I have to say it’s beyond my expectations. There are several features I expect from it: 1) powerful vacuum with mop function, it’s indeed a powerful vaccum pickup dirt, hair and dust as it went through them. I can attach the mop on the machine to clean the floor so it did the full clean job for me all-in-one. 2) good on both carpet & floor, I can turn on the carpet mode via app to increase the suction power when it clean the carpet and it’s pretty good did pickup lots of hairs from it. 3) easy control, plug in and play very easy to create the map and I love that I can creat multiple area clean sequences in map 4) easy clean & maintain, it’s fairly easy to detach and wash it, very easy to remove the hairs tangle on the wheel. The app also shows when to clean/replace the parts, like it 5) smart not get trap or stuck, it didn’t get stuck under my furnitures or trap within wires/outlets. I keep watch how it ran over all the wires but not get trap, circling around chairs and tables but not get stuck. it pass all the tasks, pretty smart! Overall, I’m satisfied with this vacuum so I gave it a 5 stars review. Totally worth it!

This is my 3rd robot vacuum. My first was a Ecovacs bought on sale for under $200 about 3 years ago. I loved it but after 7 months, it stopped connecting to internet. Company sent replacement (after 10 calls to company). Second one did the exact same thing – 7 months in it stopped connecting to internet. Company sent a 3rd replacement (another 10 calls and a very unpleasant company person telling me that even if the 3rd replacement stops working they will not replace again). Again, it stopped at about 7 months. While the thing worked, it was great – enough power to get over kitchen/dinning room transition bump, good app that let me know how long it ran for each cleaning, easy to schedule cleanings (I usually have it set for twice a week while I’m at work), an a long enough battery that even though it was ping ponging around space, it would really clean everything.Decided to change brands. I researched for about a month and decided on an Eufy for about $220. I picked this one because it was thinner than the Ecovacs and had good reviews. One of the things I didn’t like about the ecovacs (aside from the 7 month lifespan) was that 1 out of every 3 runs through house, it would get wedged under cabinets in kitchen because the very thin carpet runner was just a mm too high and if front wheel was on tile and back wheel was still on carpet near the cabinets, wedge city. The Eufy never got wedged but a huge problem was that it did not have the power to get over the divider bump between kitchen tile and hardwood floor in dinning room (bathroom was same issue). I pushed it into kitchen and bathroom for a year. I also did not like the app because it did not tell you how long it ran for each time. Battery life was good and house felt “vacuumed” when I got home from work (I blocked off kitchen/bath so it would not get stuck but that is not really the point of having a robot vacuum – I don’t want to have to vacuum kitchen/bath when I get home). This time I really did my research and also decided to splurge. I bought the Roboroc Pure about 2 weeks ago. This one is not the random ping pong, but the mapping kind. Easy to set up and connect to internet. I really like that the app give lots of info such as how much battery is used, how long cleaning lasted for each run, and it was easy to schedule run times. It has gone through my house 4 times. Has enough power to get over kitchen/bath transition, is thin enough so it won’t get wedged under cabinets (I even checked if one wheel is on carpet and one on tile and no wedge city). Really great suction so my all hardwood floor, 1000 sq ft house really, really feels vacuumed (except for 1 small area – see below). No dust balls in corners that got left behind. It runs around the perimeter first and then runs on lines through rest of space. It makes one pass through house and returns to dock. Here is the one thing I wish was different about this vacuum. With the ping pong robots, they need long battery life because they just go random around the space until the battery needs recharging and then it goes back to dock. They ran over same space multiple times in my house (not that big) so everything was really picked up. This robot runs through house once and then goes back to base even if battery still has life. The run time is about 45 minutes and it still has 70% battery left. I close doors to office and spare room because they are very small rooms with not much floor space to vacuum (too much furniture to make it worth it). I wish it would go back over house a second time or just keep going until battery is done. The four times it has run, I have noticed that it did not pick up everything on carpet runner in kitchen (thin carpet tiles from Flor). If the robot made a second pass through kitchen, I’m sure it would get everything. I was not expecting this feature in the mapping type of vacuum and not a single reviewer mentioned this feature (I watched a lot of reviews). I guess the solution is to just schedule more days to run but I do have to “vacuum proof” the house a bit before each run (pick up dog food/water bowls, pick up small rug in bathroom, put folding chair in kitchen up on counter and put small cube ottoman on couch). Or schedule multiple run times on same day which is what I will probably do.Other small issues to consider – 1 rotating brush up front on vacuum which does not pop off like other two vacs This makes it harder to clean out hair that gets tangled around that brush. Dust bin is a bit smaller than other two vacs. The first “map” of my house was very accurate but the second and third time it ran, the map did not represent all the spaces. I wanted to set it to run in just the kitchen but I did not turn on the map saving feature, so I’m not sure if I can schedule just one room. Have to experiment with that.So far, I really do like this vacuum. I won’t ever use the mop feature so I can’t say anything about that. It has good suction, it has enough power to go everywhere, does not get wedged anywhere, and my floors feel very clean when its done. I was worried about only one rotating brush on front of vacuum but so far, it seems like it really does it’s job. Minus the one thing of not doing a second pass through house, I would recommend this vacuum. I know that it takes a few weeks to really get used to each vacuum and understand the quirks (which is why I know how to “vacuum proof” the house before leaving for work on days it will run). The four stars is for one pass through house, smaller dust bin, and no pop off rotating brush.

I tried other robots before buying the Roborock S5 Max and I am happy with this robot. My main issue was that I wanted vacuuming AND mopping capability as I have extensive hardwood floors, but also carpets and rugs and tile in kitchen. This robot works great and mopping is excellent. The robot is also fast and battery efficient. We just turn it on before going to bed and it does the whole job by morning (needs to recharge once). I bought an Amazon renewed version. It came with an additional filter and mopping pad which is nice. Highly recommend.

This is a really great robot vacuum with tons of great features. I originally tried a competitor’s robot because of a sale, but decided to try the Roborock robots because of the LiDAR navigation. My first foray into the Roborock lineup was the S4–excellent navigation, reasonable ability to clean on low pile carpets, superior cleanup of dog hair from a high-shed breed…however, the robot struggled with going over thresholds between my kitchen, dining rooms, and bathrooms. That’s where the S4 MAX really excels! This robot has all the epic features of the S4 but dominates carpets (carefully pulling dog hair out of the carpets with zero damage to the carpet) and moves with ease over thresholds. This robot doesn’t have an automatic empty bin, but it takes 20 seconds to snap out the dustbin and empty it, so I’m not putting a lot of stock into that feature. This really is the perfect robot vacuum. I did a lot of research into the available options and put 3 robots through the paces, and the Roborock S4 MAX really outperformed anything else I’ve seen. If you are looking for a really smart bot to basically automate your daily sweeping around your house—look no further!

This is by far the best money I have ever spent on life improvement technology. I researched models for a month before ultimately deciding on the s5 max after YouTube reviews kept pointing to this one as the best. I have used it every single day for the last 4 days, the mopping feature on my hardwood floors is my favorite and does a great job for water only. The bot is very smart and moves intelligently. The settings and app are easy to use and very entertaining also… can watch the lines/action while away at dinner. Do not hesitate to purchase this robot cleaner, A+++++++

My wife was so skeptical of me buying this thing – skeptical to the point of making fun about it – before it arrived. Our house doesn’t just have hardwood to carpet, there is hardwood to carpet, then thick rugs on top of the carpet. About 75% of the place is either carpet or rugs.Well, me and the robot proved her wrong ;)She said, and I quote, “this is the only good crazy thing you’ve ever bought”.

This is my second RoboRock vacuum within a couple weeks, I first tried the E4 before sending it back and ordering the S4 Max. Here are a few of my observations on both models. Both have great suction power and do a great job on my tile and hardwood floors. I have a thicker pile carpet in some areas, and both have issues with the corner brush tangling and binding up in the pile. Mainly in corners while turning. These vacuums would work much better on a low pile carpet. Not an issue for me since I bought it to clean the main areas in my home, which are tile and hardwood. The E4 vacuumed in a more random pattern, hitting certain rooms multiple times while only doing others once. Also there is no ability to set walls or no go zones in the Mi Home app, which basically just shows you a map of your house and where the vacuum has been. Unless it was close to the dock, the E4 would also get lost and would be unable to find the dock on its own to recharge. I also found it would not pick up cleaning where it left off after going home to charge if the battery became low.The S4 Max uses Lidar and touch to map your house in the RoboRock app, which supports no go zones and invisible walls. The S4 Max is very respectful of the walls i set up to keep it off the carpet areas. The Lidar is a huge improvement and I actually watched it in the app as it looked into rooms and mapped them before it even entered. It vacuums in a much more organized manner, cleaning every room once before completing the cycle and has always found its own way back to the dock to charge. I found that it will go to dock to charge and back to resume cleaning where it left off after charging to 80%. It will clean about 1100 square feet of tile and hardwood flooring in about 80 minutes and have about 35% battery power left. Does a great job of picking up anything small enough to fit under it.In summary, the S4 Max is mechanically is very similar to the E4, however the Lidar and added control features the S4 Max offers make a huge difference and are well worth the extra cost in my opinion. I am verypleased with the S4 Max and have a much cleaner home with way less effort!!

As you probably know, Roborock S5 Max is one of the best out there that’s why u are here. I can confirm this with more than 50 hours of use.
But the important thing is that Geekbuying is godlike.
Bought this on pre-order. When pre-ordered the clock said From Europe Warehouse. Know what? they shipped in 9 days, and 5 days later it was in my home. Best price in the internet. I was a little skeptical about buying from this store a almost 400 Euros product. Now I am writing this review just to say thank you.
i also paid this thingie that was like 6 euros more. IF I need to use this, I will be back with another review!
    CHEERS!

It took a day for the vacuum to get connected to wifi – worked well offline during that day. Thereafter, maps and phone connection worked fine. This vacuum does an excellent job – as good as my regular one, if not better. Pet hair is no issue. The mopping is a bit of a novelty, but it works better than I would have expected. And it can go under furniture. Was worried about buying refurbished, but I have seen absolutely nothing that would make me think it wasn’t new. It’s been a few months and this device, which I was initially hesitant to buy, has been one of the best purchases I’ve made. It’s nice having clean floors.

A Roomba is the equivalent of a lazy teenager with a vacuum cleaner. Rather than start in one area and carefully sweep side to side making sure to clean every square foot, the teenager and the Roomba randomly zig zag around the room maybe cleaning 70% of the floor and call it done. That’s a Roomba – the lazy zig-zagging teen. We own a 2000 square foot home with carpeted bedrooms and hard surfaces in the living areas with area rugs. We have 2 dogs and so there are dust bunnies and pet hair scattered around. We bought the Roomba mainly so that when we leave, it would clean the hard surfaces and collect all the pet hair. It does not. It will zigzag around randomly for 45 minutes. When the cycle is done, the Roomba is full of pet hair and dust. Where it goes, it does clean very well. However, it does not clean everywhere. Imagine you have a large square room that is empty. Imagine an even coat of dust on the entire floor. After a Roomba cycle, imagine a bunch of zigzag lines where it cleaned some of the dust and left some behind.Bottom line, we paid $300 for a machine that will run randomly about the house, often get stuck on or under something and stop. When it does complete a cycle, it will be full of dirt, but we still need to use the vacuum to clean all the pet hair that was left behind. If you have lots of hard surfaces and want to come home to a floor completely clean, you’ll either need to hire a maid or vacuum yourself. As I mentioned in the header, where it goes it cleans, but it goes randomly about and leaves lots behind where it doesn’t go.Not sure we’d buy one again.

If you’re looking to never use a hand vacuum ever again, then this is not for you; because you will be severely disappointed. This is a machine that will bump its’ way around your home and travel in no particular direction. However, that is exactly what you signed up for. This model of the Roomba does not have a mapping feature, so to ask why it wonders around aimlessly is pointless. If you’re looking for a machine that’s going to replace your hand vacuum forever and clean as efficiently as a cleaning service, then you might need to look at the $700+ models that DOES have a mapping feature and higher specs. This $200+ is more or less a base model and is not ever going to replace your hand vacuum.I have myself and one dog in a 700 sq ft apartment (no stairs; but lots of floor rugs!) There is a consistent layer of dog and human hairs on the carpet and floorboards. What the Roomba does, is it zooms around my apartment during the week, picking up stray hairs and dust bunnies as well as get under the coffee tables and cupboards. Getting to those harder to reach places; or items of furniture I’m always too lazy to move out of the way to vacuum. This means that in between the times that I use my hand vacuum (about once a week), I don’t have a crazy amount of dog hair floating around and I don’t need to go out of my way to vacuum in those hard to reach places. It has had no trouble at all climbing over all of my area rug, doormats, bathroom rugs (high pile with tassels!) or any of the multiple smaller area rugs in the hallway or the bedroom. You do need to clean the dustbin out after each use, and it says that as part of the maintenance. Running this Roomba for an hour in my 700 sq ft apartment, with one dog and one human’s worth of hairs will fill up the dust bin. If you’re buying this to run continuously in your 3000 sq ft home; again you’re going to be very disappointed. Owning this particular model of the Roomba, there are going to be some limitations. You can’t compare a $200 product to a $700+ product and expect that they perform the same way with the same bells and whistles. If you’re looking for a robot vacuum that picks up the hairs and dust that life throws at you in between deep cleans, then this is for you.Customer Service with the iRobot team has also been great. I had some connectivity issues and they were super responsive and solution orientated.

The media could not be loaded.  We recently replaced much of our carpeting with LVT. After a few days, we noticed dog hair everywhere, especially along the walls. We never realized how the carpeting hid the dog hair. Since we don’t want to sweep several times a day, we decided to buy a Roomba. After reading the reviews of the 694 and other brands, I opted for the 694.We got it today. I plugged it in to charge, downloaded the app and proceeded to set it up. Set up mainly consists of connecting it to your router. You can set up different cleaning routines for different areas of your house or just let it explore. For its maiden voyage, we had it vacuum the dining room. It is raised about 7 inches above the living room and is a distinct separate area. Ideal for a test trial. I created the favorite, Vacuum Dining Room, which just consists of giving it a name and putting Roomba in the room with its base. I started the routine from my iPad and it came out of its base. I quickly realized I needed to pull out the chairs from the table so it could get under them. And, you need to make sure there is enough room for it to get into every area of the room where you want it to clean. The video shows Roomba cleaning the dining room. My husband and I really enjoyed watching it and watching it learn. It got stuck once when it nearly fell off the raised area. It called for help and requested it be moved to another area. I picked it up, put it down and off it went. When it was done, it went to its garage and announced it was done.We decided to give it a shot in a bigger area which included the LVT.While our dog totally ignored it when it was in the dining room, she perked up when it started cleaning in the living room. The photo shows our dog watching it, half asleep. Interestingly, when it headed towards her, our dog just got up and stepped out of the way. Right now it is about 60 feet away cleaning the laundry room. The battery indicator is red and it should be coming home soon. It’s smart so I think it will find its way.Well, Roomba ran out of gas! It sent a message saying it needed to be returned to the base station. We finally found it in a corner of the laundry room, exhausted, near death. After emptying the dust bin, we carried it back to the base station. It is charging now. We will let it fully charge before sending it out again. It is a great device. My only criticism it that it doesn’t alert you when the dust bin needs emptying. So, it can keep running around, unable to pick up more. We do have a very large house, so this may not be a problem for most.

My Yeedi Vac Station consists of a vacuum-equipped dock and a Yeedi Vac Max robotic vacuum cleaner. The charging station is 16.75 inches tall and 7.5 inches wide. Its base and loading ramp reaches 13.6 inches in length. This device is capable of recharging and emptying debris from the accompanying robotic vacuum. The Vac Max robotic vacuum spans 13.6 inches and is 3 inches high. An auto mode pushbutton and a navigational camera are mounted to its deck. A white plastic cover conceals the robot’s dustbin, power switch, reset button, and wi-fi indicator.A water tank, flanked by an assortment of anti-collision sensors and a bumper, fits snugly into the robot’s back edge. Two large rubber-coated drive wheels, an omnidirectional wheel, one side brush, six drop sensors, a carpet detection sensor, an optical flow sensor, and the main brush are located beneath this device. A pair of metal contacts used to charge the battery are positioned near the front of the robot. This device is equipped with a 14.4V 5200mAh lithium battery capable of powering the Yeedi Vac Max for over three hours.No-go zones may be configured using the Yeedi application.Accessories consist of the charging dock, user’s guide, brush cleaning device, and a spare vacuum bag.Visual SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) systems determine the orientation and position of a robot by creating a map of its environment while simultaneously tracking the device’s position.Points of interest determined by the algorithm are tracked through successive camera frames to triangulate a 3D position. This data is used to create a 3D map and identify the robot’s location. The Yeedi Vac Station derives this information from photographing the ceilings of the rooms being cleaned. After mapping is complete, the robot can now determine both its own location and those of surrounding objects and efficiently navigate a room while bypassing chairs and other obstacles. This system is equipped with an automatic dust-emptying dock. Once the robotic vacuum returns to recharge, the dock’s built-in vacuum sucks debris from the device’s dustbin and deposits it into a large vacuum bag located within the dock’s upper compartment. While a dust-emptying system saves little time and effort, it is a convenience to which I quickly became accustomed. I am loath to give it up. On the more practical side, this system allows me to program the robotic vacuum to clean my house daily, even when I am away on vacation. This application enables the user to control how their robotic vacuum operates. I can set schedules, suction and drip rates, and task the robot to clean specific areas. The Yeedi vacuum easily navigated my thick foam bathroom mat and the well-secured Turkish rug.A black colored metal grating guards the air intake located within my front foyer. While this obstacle sometimes traps the wheels of unwary robots, the Yeedi vacuum carefully edged around it.While vacuuming, this robot can cross thresholds—the strip of wood at the bottom of doorways where rooms connect—of up to 2 centimeters (0.8 inches). Because several of my rooms have floors rising 1.25 inches above their neighbors’, I have installed narrow ramps between them. The Yeedi vacuum did not experience difficulties coping with these hybrid thresholds. At one point, it climbed atop the foot pedal used in conjunction with my stage piano. Then the vacuum loudly requested assistance. I rescued the robot from this not particularly perilous perch and tapped its deck-mounted pushbutton. The vacuum immediately found its bearings and continued cleaning. This incident represents the only problem I encountered while vacuuming. This robotic vacuum is fitted with a 5200mAh lithium battery capable of providing power for up to three hours in standard mode.My medium-sized house can be cleaned within 61 minutes in standard mode. During the testing phase, I vacuumed my floors three times in succession. By that point, the battery level had dropped to ten percent. The Yeedi robotic vacuum begins with a Z pattern which is heavily modified by information derived from its internally developed map. If desired, specific rooms can be targeted for individual cleaning using the Yeedi application. This robot can be set to vacuum at 600, 1500, or 3000PA. I generally use the lowest level because it cleans my house well in conjunction with the side brush and an exceptionally effective main brush. While utilizing this mode, I can barely hear the robot unless I occupy the room being cleaned. The suction level automatically increases when the robot travels over a mat or carpet. However, when vacuuming my thicker upstairs carpets, I usually set the vacuum mode to 1500 or 3000PA.I can set no-go zones that prevent the robot from entering specific areas. More importantly, zones can be established that apply only to mopping operations. When my robot is mopping, it avoids carpeted rooms and edges carefully around my Turkish rug.The drip rate of the water tank can be adjusted. I find this helpful because I like to use minimal water when mopping wooden floors.Standard mopping systems consist of a mop pad attached to a plastic mop plate. The mop plate generally hangs below the water tank, connected to it by a pair of plastic pieces that work somewhat like a set of hinges. The robot drags the mop pad along the floor as it vacuums. When the vacuum climbs over the threshold between two rooms, the hinged mop plate is pressed upward, hopefully providing enough clearance to be pulled across.Thin mop pads increase the amount of clearance available. While this allows the robot to cross higher thresholds, these pads clean poorly.Yeedi has chosen to provide a thick and plush mop pad. It cleans floors more effectively, but the clearance is reduced to nine millimeters. This robotic vacuum provides excellent value. It is fitted with an effective navigation system and benefits from excellent maneuverability, long battery life, and the ability to set no-go zones. I was especially impressed by its automatic dust-emptying dock. If you are looking for a robotic vacuum suitable for a medium-sized to a large house, the Yeedi Vac Station is worth a close look.

Many people might not have heard of Yeedi but I was in search of this brand/model for a long while; I was super glad when K781+ became available on Amazon! Yeedi is a sub-brand of the famous Ecovacs and in my opinion it has a pretty fair price point compared to other big names.Below is the pros and cons I found after one month of using this vacuum robot:Pros:Self-emptying – this is the number one feature I love. I have two dogs who shed all year round. My old Ecovacs vacuum robot was helpful but cleaning up the dust bin once everyday was still a hassle to me. Plus I am allergic to dust mite and I’d like to avoid having to empty the bin often. A tip here is, if you clean too big of an area the dust bin can get really packed and the self emptying can fail. Just split your space into custom areas and set schedules – problem solved!Carpet detection – this model detects carpet and avoid wetting and mopping the carpet during work. This is super handy as I have many many area rugs throughout my whole house and I would hate to collect them before each mopping session. Life saver!Vacuum and Mop at the Same Time – and you can also choose to vacuum first and then mop too. The nice thing about vacuuming and mopping together is that the pets are less confused, which I enjoy, a lot!Quietness – I did find this model to be quieter than my old Ecovacs model, and I feel a lot more comfortable using it during the day because of that.Cons:Dust bags cannot be reused – which means you need to purchase these bags again and again.Mopping pad – I need to manually wash the pad after each clean. Yes I can lower the mopping frequency but I hope one day there will be a model with both the self-emptying station and the mop cleaning station (like a combiantion of yeedi and narwal).

The self emptying feature doesn’t work and I have to manually empty the bin in the vacuum all the time. Dog hair easily tangles in the brush and it will stop working until you cut the dog hair out. I could’ve got a cheaper vacuum if I’m going to be emptying it myself anyways

The Roborock S5 Max is fantastic. Intelligent maps with virtual walls and no-go zones. Vacuum cleaner and wet mobbing in one device. I have an S5 and this new S5 Max and both are great machines. Very recommendable.
