I have been on a list at our local Stihl dealer to get this hand held pruner/chainsaw, but they have been back ordered for way too long & ordered this. It came with a charged battery, so I was able to get busy & “play” with it immediately. It’s unbelievable how powerful and light weight it is. I have no hand strength hardly & had no problem using it for around 45 minutes straight. It does not give you an uncomfortable hand vibration while cutting. We’ll see how long it lasts, but for now, I am very pleased with it

70 year old wife can handle this thing. If you’ve cut her I swear she bleeds dirt. Would rather have something for her garden than jewelry. Mostly. 😉The safety button was a little tough for her to get used to but she can do it.Even a small standard battery chain saw would have been too much for her. This was perfect and won me kudos.Battery life has been good so far.Don’t try to rush the cut. Let the saw do the work.I’ll update if anything changes.

The media could not be loaded. Check out the attached demo video.I had a lot of fun playing with this single-hand held 4” Wireless Chainsaw. I pruned several small growth trees, branches and weed-like cedar on our property. Can easily cut through 2-3” branches with ease. You can do twice as thick but will need to be smart about how you cut through the full circumference. As long as you take several swipes through it with maybe about a 2” cut at a time, you should be fine.Where this thing shines are all those branches that are too big for hand-held trimmers or cutters. This thing melts through them. I trimmed most of my branches on a single battery. It comes with two, so you are good for plenty of trimming time.Batteries are super lightweight lithium and have integrated charge chips inside them. An AC adapter plugs directly from the wall into batteries. Wall AC unit initially will have a Red LED when charging and turns green when charging is complete. Batteries have internal circuits to turn off battery charging when full.It comes with 2-extra chains and tools to change them.Pro-Tip: If going through tree branches thicker than 3”-4”, go slow, making “V” shaped cuts as you go to give your blade plenty of wiggle room as it cuts through your branch/tree. This will keep the chain free to always spin without getting tight or seize between the friction or weight of the tree around the chain. If going through the multi-foot tree, yes you can do this too if done correctly, only use 1/2 of your chain length while making a “v” shaped slice out of the falling side of the tree. When you cut out this cheese shaped/piece of cake shaped slice, then you can begin doing the same cut on the opposite side of the tree about 8-12” higher up the tree trunk than the “v” slice you just cut on the falling side of the tree. This will allow the weight of the tree to lean towards the cheese wedge you cut out. You literally could fall a 2’ wide tree with this with correct technique and patience. Not that this is your first tool of choice but it is strong enough to make 2” deep swipes, as long as you keep making “v” shaped cuts as you go.This is a great under $100 tool to have in your yard maintenance shed/toolbox. I found it helpful getting through all branches that are too big for hand-pruners.

Does not leave a clean cut – looks more like splinters. The tool is lightweight and maneuverable but it leaves a gross looking wood cut on smaller limbs. Also, due to its lightweight, the tool bounces all over the place – a gas chain saw does not do that.I intended to use it to cut kindling into small pieces but it may not work for that. The problem is that the chain velocity is nowhere as high as gas chain saw and that translates into rough cuts. It works best when the limb being cut is attached to the tree and is held fast to the trunk.I live in the forest and often have to climb trees to cut limbs. This tool will work for that since I can handle it with one hand while holding on to the tree.! A tool like this is a must for my situation.

The media could not be loaded. I’m using this product for yard maintenance. This tool fills a gap where you need to cut something too big for a hand cutter but don’t have (or want) a big expensive chainsaw. I used it to cut a bunch of old wood from a row of lilacs and it worked great! It is very light and cuts through pretty thick stuff quickly. The charger plugs into the battery directly and there is a light on the charger that is red until it is fully charged. There are two batteries and two chains. If they eventually get dull, I can take them to a local shop to sharpen for about 5 bucks. Assuming it lasts, I’m very pleased with the purchase.

I tried cutting a limb, it stopped, so I put in a newly charged battery, thinking maybe it didn’t have enough power. After the newly charged battery, it still wouldn’t cut the lime which is 1/2″ thick. I am 70 yrs. old so I don’t tackle the large limbs, this wouldn’t cut any. I contacted Amazon (I got it on July 1); my kids were here for a few weeks so I didn’t use it right away. Now, ready to get to work Aug 11th and the thing won’t cut anything. Amazon says it is too late to return. My nephew purchased one and his works mine does not. So sorry I purchased this.

I like it a lot. It is very handy for small branches max 4 inches in diameter as it says in the description. however, you can push it to cut bigger branches (maybe 6 or so).the good:- Handy, light, two batteries, strong, ergonomic design, two chains.the bad- Limited branch size, limited battery life (I got about 8 branches on a single charge), flimsy chain at first, but then you know how to make it work.overall a good buy.Updates:One battery completely dead after five uses assuming something is broken inside that I can’t fix.Updates: Feb 14th 2022Seller reached out and handled the battery situation in very professional way.Great after-sale service

This thing is amazing, it loves to eat wood. My grounds have always been difficult and a a consequence I own several loppers, from large compound, to medium titanium to small. Several machetes and axes, and a 14, 16 and pole chain saws. This thing replaces all of this with the exception of the pole and large saw. If I had a landscape business, I’d be crazy not to have one. I have yet to run one of its batteries out and you have to keep the chain oiled and adjusted. The only problem I see is that since it grows on you, safety is a concern because as well as it works on wood it would have no difficulty going through a finger or something worse. The safety lock works, but you have to be careful and respect this thing.

I bought this to trim a mulberry tree. As long as you are only cutting the smaller diameter branches and/or soft branches it works okay. The live branches were soft, but also had some dead branches that needed to be trimmed. The wood of the dead branches that was harder. After I had cut a few of the dead branches which were larger but still under the 4 inch blade length inches the motor died. The saw was cutting through the dead branches with no problem and gave no indication there was an issue until it just quit. I did contact the seller and they responded saying they would send me another chainsaw. I will update this review after I receive the second unit and see how well it works.

This is about the handiest ever. I love using this little powerhouse. It took me a minute to figure out how to tighten the chain, but now that I know, it’s simple. I love that it comes with a spare battery, so if you use it until the battery dies, you have another ready to go (if you thought to make sure it was charged, but that’s on you!). It easily cuts through 4-5 inch saplings and branches. If the chain gets pinched, it will stall until you get it unpinched, and then, it’s off and running again. You need to use bar and chain oil with any chainsaw, and this small version is no different. I wish they had included a small bottle, but that’s a minor “complaint.” It does come with an extra chain, and work gloves and safety glasses. The carrying case is hard shell plastic. You have to remove the battery in order for the case to close, but that’s a simple thing to do. I like that I can keep everything all together. Very handy.

Great little saw but the charger quit working after less than a dozen uses. I found an aftermarket replacement charger on Amazon with the right voltage and that did the trick. It has surprising power for its size and can cut branches up to 6″ in diameter.

The media could not be loaded. This is a nice light duty saw to have around the house. I have a larger electric chainsaw but wanted something for trimming small branches around the house or to take camping. This will make short work of 2″ branches and I even managed to cut a slice out of a 4″ stump in this video. It is packaged well with lots of foam and cut out pockets for each item in the box. Comes with a spare chain, both are sharp out of the box. There is a wrench to loose the nut to access the chain sprocket cover zas well as a Phillips screwdriver for adjusting the tension. Nice thing about this unit is it does not require bar oil. Granted that does mean it is a light duty cycle device, you won’t be clearing dlalne trees or lots of brush with this unit. I would reccomend putting a few drops of bar oil on the bar or chain periodically though. After my first cut, I had to tighten the chain, which is easily done with the Phillips screwdriver and turning the screw next to the bar clockwise. The teeth on the chain are not very close together, so it will bounce a bit until it gets a groove started in the cut. This may be more apparent in dry wood. It is also single speed, so click trigger safety off and squeeze trigger and go. For bigger jobs, I’ll use my 12″ electric chainsaw, but this thing is small light and compact enough to carry easily in the camper. And no oil reservoir means it won’t leak and make a mess either. It includes 2 batteries as well so should let you do a fair amount of light cutting between the two.

We live in the country and do a lot of yard work. I have both gas and electric (corded) chainsaws, but they are intimidating for my wife to use. She saw this type of hand held unit but it was not available in local stores. So, I went to the go-to site (Amazon) and found this inexpensive model. The little woman likes it and it was close enough to Valentine’s day that it counted as a gift!

I received this for a Christmas present from my sister who had one and loved it, I have now had three of my friends purchase it since. You can’t beat it for the price it’s perfect for a woman to use or a man that needs to do small trimming.
